Ok, i've searched my limited library and did a search here about them. I know that some faulds where done with sliding rivets, some with rivets on the sides and leathers in the middle and some with all leathers. For your typical German gothic armour what would be MOST proper? And do the front and back faulds attach to each other in some way? Any pictures anyone one knows of that show the inside view would be appreciated.
Also for those that have experiance with the different meathods what are the pro's and con's of the different designs?
Thanks
Brian

I'll help as much as I can. James G. , or Jeff H. Could give you better answers. The fronts are not connected with hinges to the back like the Italian ones. At least not any I've seen. There is always a leather strip running down the center of the fauld. I think the sides were often on sliding rivets. My repro has the sides articulated on leathers. It works well. Not sure if its correct or not....Otto
