Looks very nice, I'd love to have a harness like that. What thickness are the various pieces? BTW, are the prices on your website in Canadian dollars?

nice, though i've often seen the breastplate more like the italian style. also, if you look at some effigies, it lookes like the english knees are a hypred of italian and german hehehe weird ;)

very cool, i'm glad someone is activally trying to do english harnesses!!!!!!!!!

For being not totally accurate, I'm left wondering just where the hell you could have gone wrong! It looks great!

Excellent work! :) I like the splinted vambraces, were those on the effigy? The only thing I can see that is glaringly wrong is the bevor. The bevor usually sits on top of the breastplate, not under it. :)

Looks fantastic! Jason, I used to think the same thing with bevors, But I've seen period art where the bevor was worn under the breast. It kind of makes sense. A point or blade couldnt be forced between the plates that way. Most worn over it( ones with locking device or that bolt on), some under it (floater)...Otto

I commissioned this harness from Eric and Francois and I could not be happier with the results as well as the quick turn around time. I began talking with him about this at the beginning of March of this year!
He is quick in his responses to emails and very professional. I would definitely recommend him to any and all, especially those who feel leary about long lead times and spotty communication from other armourers. This is not the case with Eric. :D His work is first rate and he is willing to work with a variety of materials and gauges.
So in these times of worry about sending large sums of cash to an armourer there are shining examples of how it should be done.

Again my highest possible recommendation for Armurerie du Duche.

Hi everybody,

Thanks for your comments. The thickness of this armour is 16 ga. Like Vigneault said, our prices are in Canadian Dollars. This price is for a 18 ga(mild steel) version of this armour, including a raised kettle hat in 14 ga.

Pretty amazing!
I will post a review when I receive it and have a chance to test it out with the steel blunts. :D
