Making a Quintain

Post by Pendragon »

I know this is a little off topic but does anyone have measurements or a design for a Quintain? Any help would be greatlyappreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm. Not much available, after a quick google.
Assuming you want it for SCA Equestrian activities, there's this:

[quote]2. Quintain
a. Equipment
i. The Quintain, approximately 8’ tall, heavily weighted at the base, with a shield firmly bolted to the right arm, and a sandbag filled with rags, foam, or feathers suspended from the left arm.
ii. Several quintain lances; at least 1 ¼â€Â
