Comments on Patterns, one of the Essays

As most of you know by now (I hope), the pattern archive has gone through an upgrade, to provide thumbnails of all the patterns. (Well, there's still a few that I haven't done -- notably "sinric's old patterns").

I included pictures of the armour any chance I got. However, I can't make up images out of thin air. Mad Matt was kind enough to send me images for Alan Bauldree's gorget and greathelm; they're now included in the pattern-page for those pieces. (Thanks, Matt!)

If you've made any of the pieces, and have either pictures of your work, or instructions which you could provide, I will include them (and give you the same sort of secondary "thanks" credit that Matt got for his pictures).

Also, in the Essay section, I finally got around to shuffling around the images from the revamped "Practical Chainmail" essay/excerpt. Those of you who have looked at it probably know that it is a huge set of image-files, since the pages were scanned in at some point from (by the look of it) a xeroxed copy of the book. My first pass included the images, but shoved them all down to the bottom, where it was confusing to look at. If you're interested, I'd suggest you look again at the essay: http://www.armourarchive.org/essays/book__practical_chainmail

Let me know what you think.

So How come you spelt Mad with two D's in the pattern archive and then with one D here in this post.
