Well I got my arms a short time ago. Actually the pieces for my arms. I had some questions I wanted to ask Steve before I posted anything and he's responded now and everything's cleared up.
Anyway about the arms.
They're a little less finished then I'd envisioned. But I'm sorta crazy and envisioned them completly finished even though we'd agreed they wouldn't be. So they're finished to the level they were supposed to be.
I wanted more complicated arms for the same price and we decided to skimp on things like polishing and assembly so I could have tulip shaped twisty vambraces with rolled edges and pointy brass trimmed elbow cops. Basically they're the Curbourg #13 arms with the exception of the fact that they need to be put together.
The shape of them is FANTASTIC! They fit a little closer then I think I'd like but I actually don't mind the fact since they fit exactly to the shape of my forearms allowing basically a long sleeved shirt underneath. It's really neat.
The slots for the twisty vambraces are really clean and look like they'll work (don't forget I still need to polish and assemble them).
Basically I'm really happy with what I got. And the really good news is that it took Steve less then a week to respond to the questions I had about the arms. Which means his customer service is improving.
Even though I waited something over 2 years (I think it's been so long I can't remember) they were worth the wait.
Anyway hopefully this gives a bit of hope to those who have had their orders sitting in the que forever. Steve is actually getting old orders done and out the door.
Thanks Steve.
If there's any need for clarification in this review ask and I'll do so. I'll try to post some pics but might not get around to it.
