I am looking for 2X72 or 2X60 belts. A supplier in Quebec or Canada at least and I could order over the web. Anyone got one?

There are two suppliers that I use.
http://www.kbctools.com http://www.acklandsgrainger.com
The websites arenn't the easiest to navigate but if you get their print catalogue it has almost everything you could ever want to find. (they both have 2 X 72 belts but I don't have the product nembers here at work and I don't know what kind of belts you want)

Out of the states http://www.mcmaster.com delivers to canada and also has a wide variety of metalworking tools.

I hope this is helpful. 8)

Hi Padrig,

Acklands Grainger has a store in Montreal, talk to Bob he should be able to help you.

I buy all my disks and belts from this place. Even with shipping it is still cheaper.

http://www.barbkat.com/

There is also an old guy in the St Eustache fleamarket who sell all kinds of sanding material. May be he has what you want at reasonable price.

See you,

Daniel

Alcy, Enco is in the US. Thanks for playing. ;)

Estaban, thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to see if there was other options as these 2 canadian companies do have nice stuff but are not on the cheap side.

Dan, you are the winner. :D Wonderful. I will order belts from that place. I owe you a beer. Thanks.

I got a Burr King in late February, model 760 that takes 2x60 belts, I was able to turn around and purchase a $hitload of belts on ebay for as little as $1 each. Just search under 'abrasive belt (s) 60'

A Burr King. Lucky man! :)

Thanks for the tip. I will try to build my sander for 2X72 belts. Well the bigger one anyway. I am now making a "practice" one that may be more suited to 2X60 belts.

I know Jeff used to buy his abrasives from abratech or some such company on the montreal south shore.

I personnally just found abrasive heaven here in quebec city. The guy there gave m 3 catalogs of stuff he can get. Very low costs too. Abrasives JMB (they are in the yellow pages, I don't remember their number) it's called, dunno if they do mail order though... If you do call them tell them it's another armourer that referred you, he can show you abrasives the I personnally didn't even know existed, and would probably work very nicely...

There is also www.sandpaper.ca they seem pretty inexpensive too.
