About those "soup-can" couters/poleyns...

Are there any extant examples, or are we going strictly from brasses, effigies, etc? I've looked through a BUNCH of armor books and even a couple of museums since I started studying armor, but don't recall seeing any actual examples.

i seem to recall there being a pic of some being posted on here a while ago.
i think tehy had holes drilled into teh top and bottom edges for maille attatchments or something like that.

then again, maybe i;m halucinating
