Maille Artisans International League

Post by WoodyNaDobhar »

Greetings all 8)

Well, after a year of trial, error, and re-trial, the Maille Artisans
International League is announcing the launch of its automated system. It
has been completely redesigned and now has many new features, including
Advanced Search on everything in the M.A.I.L. database, a 'Who's Online' to
view the other visiting members, and all sorts of other bells and whistles.

If you're not familiar with M.A.I.L. (which you may not be, please pardon
the spammish nature of this post, it will be the last, ever, as I hate this
stuff as much as you), we're a collaboration of chainmaille merchants,
artisans, and enthusiasts who have banded together under the banner of
education, to further the art and industry of maille. M.A.I.L. is no longer
affiliated with any specific group or merchant, and will try in the future
to provide a neutral meeting ground for all maille artisans. We make no
profit, and only accept donations grudgingly, to pay for our server bill.
No member will ever be charged, nor will their information ever be sold. We're not in it for money or fame or any of that stuff, we just want to spread the art.

All of the M.A.I.L. submits that were posted before the new system's beta
testing are now being stored at http://www.mailartisans.org/old. During
this time of transition you'll find more resources there, but soon it will
be defunct, and deleted.

Feel free to drop by and check out our work...

Thanks for the time, and once again our apologies for the borderline spam...

To quell any uprising/complaints, and to clarify the Archive policy on people posting about other groups/forums/websites/...

Woody e-mailed me first to ask permission to make this post. While this was nice of him, it was not necessary (and I told him so).

As long as it is relevant (and courtesy of OffTopics, most everything is relevant somewhere), as long as it's not porn / obscene / totally-disgusting, and as long as you don't do it over and over and over, it's fine by me that you make such a post.

(I reserve the right to be totally disgusted by things which are not porn nor obscene, by the way.) Image
