Hello.
I have had my forge done for about 2 weeks now, and lit it up yesterday. I can easily get 1/2 inch barstock up to red hot using only 1/4 pound of charcoal, like in the photos, but I will use much more in the future. My anvil is th head of the larger sledge in the first pic.

I burned my left index fingertip very badly by accidentally touching my work just after quenching, when it was still VERY hot. I'll finish the knife over the weekend.

The chicken cuz I killed it on monday. I raise chickens and have doine for 5 years, but never eaten one of my flock, so I'm showing off shamelessly to everyone I can.

Oh we would have believed you were capable of killing and eating a chicken without the pic. You need to show it to the flock....get a little respect. :lol:
