Yea it is made acording the link that RalphS posted. But I have not riveted it but made a weld in the back. Also the edges could be more flared outwards. The problem is it gets too thin in the end so I would say work it hot. Im in a progres of making a pair so I will post some pictures at the end of next week.

Ps best would be not weld it all just hammer it out from one piece.

i have tried the rivit meathed and i could do it, so i went back and tried to raise it from one piece again, this time i think i am on to a winner, the point is quite low though and not that pointy, to get adquate pointy-ness should i raise everything, ie leave no flair and just flatten out the bottom inch or so?
will post pictures soon

Eric Dube - (if you're reading this thread) - What are we looking at here?

Is that some sort of fluting or crimping tool, for "stretching" the plate edge, which then gets flattened out in the next few steps...

...producing the wide flared edges?
