A while ago there was a thread on Gothic leg armour, http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/007037.html
I'm planning on making a pair, and would like to hear any suggestions, comments and warnings you have to offer. It's always nicer (though not necessarily better) to learn from someone else's mistakes than your own.
Gothic leg armour experiences?
I made a pair for a guy recently, the only thing i think I would do differently is on the knee cops. I brought them to an angle to match the lames. Getting the articulation to straiten out isn't easy. the point gets in the way.
Make the lames pointy but not the cops, Keep thinking sharp angles (outside) and gracefull curves (inside).
