Visiting ARS conference, looking for contacts

I'll be visiting Chicago and the ARS conference on the 22nd of October, and since I'm flying over all the way from Europe, I'd like to stay about a week longer and do some sightseeing and perhaps visit some people in the area.

So, to get to the point, here's my request: Can anyone consider inviting me over for a day or two, perhaps do some armouring or sightseeing or whatever? I'm a nice guy

Also, are there any "must-see-or-do" things in the general Chicago area, or a couple hours drive from there?

You can Stay at my place Ralph. We could see the Field museum of Natural history, Art museum, maybe check a few other sites.I dont have a shop, But I'm only about 15 minutes from Talbot, I'm pretty sure I could make some kind of arrangements to visit his well stocked shop.....Otto

Otto and Ingrid, thank you very much for your kind offers!
I intend to stay at a hotel over the conference, and after that would love to come visit you for a day or two each. My flight back is on the 25th.
A friend of mine is accompanying me, would you have place for 2 people?
