i got my refund in from the nice people at the IRS a while back and decided i would spend it on my hobby.
The first item i bought was a nice side of leather from www.brettunsvillage.com . Man, they are nice people to deal with. I purchased one of the 6-7 oz veg tanned sides. It was only 90 bucks w/ shipping and was approx 24.5 square feet of beautiful leather. Time to make some shoes!
Next i bought some buffing compounds, greaseless compounds and sisal wheels/buffing wheels from www.caswellplating.com . I took advantage of their buy 1 get 1 free deal. Their customer service was great, they answered all my questions very professionally. I am pleased with the buffing compounds but i must say that i am more impressed with the greaseless compounds. I am going to be buying more of the greaseless type very soon.
Next i got a dishing form from Ironmonger. His dishing forms are very nice. They are weighty and have anchor holes, so they won't be bouncing around while dishing. The inside of the form was smooth and i did not have to remove any pits or letters in the bottom. Dishing a 12 guage stainless helm half was a breeze... well not really a breeze but it sure was a hell of a lot easier than with a stump.
Personally i will buy from all of these people again and i would recomend anyone to do the same.
