I'm currently buying pre made belts for my linisher. They cost $3-$6 each depending where i get it form and are around a meter long.
Recently i sore a 30m box for $30 with the right thickness ($1 each).
How do i join the two ends.?
A friend pointed out that the tape used is some sort of fibreglass tape ? (as it's transparent looking and has fibbers) is this right ?
Is that all?
Someone else told me to tape and glue the ends??
The ones i buy have the ends cut on the diagonal , can i cut them flush before taping ??
Any help and advice would be cool.

Kit, I have seen enough sanding belts around here( furniture makers) and they all use the diagonal ends. This is to cut down on the tear apart at the seam syndrome. It also cuts down on the bump of hitting a squared edge. Don't know the end splicing works. Oh and you have to be careful about putting the belts on to keep the leading edge from catching on the metal edges of the sanding table.
