That first one isn't so different than some of the Scythian/Sarmatian stuff I know you've seen pictures of, Tim.
The second is made from the square holed coins, and of a modern design. It is still interesting.

Yes, the similarities to Scythian armour in the first photo is striking, including the shield folded around the shoulders---a fashion seen in Scythian art!

I've emailed the museum to see about more photos.
The helmet on the left is very similar to a migration era helmet found in a prince's grave in Germany!
