I got the Corinthian I ordered from Armouere Eric just in time to break it in at great NorthEastern War. Image
I love it....the lines all look smooth, the welds are clean and precise. The fit is good(though a wee bit tight...my fault though) and, well.. it looks damned spiff!

As for the rest of the kit...the greaves and cuisses suck, and can't wait until I get the muscled greaves. The pteruges are definately a work in progress. I need to apply more neatsfoot oil to soften them up...they are very stiff. Also, I need to find some nifty shiny thins to attach at the bottoms. Any suggestions on that? The cuirass is Minamato...and I love it. The bazubands are from our own Sasuke. All in all I am most pleased with my kit. Thanks so much to Eric, Joe and Chris...Excellant and pleasing work.

Careful- soften the pteruges up too much, and they won't help. I actually wax hardened mine (they are my only thigh protection).

Yes...I saw it Eric, but I really do love my current one.

Owen, I was told that either neatsfoot oil or some other leather conditioner would make it more supple without losing the protection. It is 12-14oz.

Hey Otto, What does your kit look like? The girl videotaped alot of the field battles. Maybe I can spot you.
Thanks all.

Hiya

My kit is Black leather brig w/ silver rivets brown leather legs with articulted knees, and a roundtop openface bascinet(definetly not a spuntop) with a red baldric and a red fighting shirt beneath.

My pteruges were originally just oiled, and did not provide anywhere near the protection that they do now that they are waxed. Oiled would still protect against edged weapons, but not against impact.
