Master Waldryk is a very personable armorer. Strong opinion yes, but none the less, easy to talk to. In May ordered his SS gauntlets and pauldrons instock and put an order for his Sugarloaf with a brass cross added. My order was misplaced and when his wife realized she forgot to ship it a month had passed ( end of June ). I live in England so stuff typicaly takes a bit to get here. Once the mistake was found, she shipped it priority , certified at there cost. Had to re-pean some of the rivits on the pauldrons and gauntlets. Both easy to strap and point. Gauntlets have great articulation in the hand but the closed thumb does take some getting used to. With a little bit of padding inside I can take a rubber mallet and smack my hands with little more then feeling pressure. The pauldrons run a bit small, I could have stood to order the large, but the mediums seem to work alright. With a good < pretty good > wack there was a small indent < not bad > and not much more then a temp sting.
Called on the status of my Helm. Master Waldryk was moving into a new house with where he could set up his shop how he wanted. He told me he wouldn't be able to get to my helm until end of August or begining of September. He offered to refund the money for my helm so I could go somewhere else or resubmit. I told him I would just wait, it would take me 6 mos ( usually ) to get a helm from someone else < not off the shelf >. Needless to July 8th I recieved conformation my helm was shipped. Recieved order Monday 29th. All in all, looks very very nice. Mirror polish present. Some of the plate attachments not quite true, but it does look nice. With a GAA gorget, you do not need an aventail or any other neck protection.
All in all, long wait at times. Very open with what was going on. Kept me informed. For the price for Stainless, you realy can't go wrong.
Sorry for being long winded.

Well I’m glad someone was able to get a helm out of him on time.
I had so many issues with mine that I had to talk with everyone in the Kingdom. The waiting wasn’t the issue, it was the fact that he took another large order in front of mine (and many others) and didn’t feel the need to contact us. The other issue is that the helmet I ordered was not the helmet I recieved. Suffice it to say I had more issue with the helmet when I got it than I should have.
I’ve always recommended that people get the stock items, it’s the custom orders I’m not happy with.

The wait for a somewhat custom helm wasn't bad. I've heard others have had similar problems. My only real complaint is some of the rivits are pretty sloppy. Not sure if Master Waldryk does them himself or has apprentices < which do work with him > do them. Lucky for me its only the rivits, easy to even them out. All in all, not to bad for the price.
