Ok, me again with another question.
So, I've gotten my helmet padded fairly well, chin strap ready to attach, decide to test out the padding and had some one whack me a few times with my sword. After my ears stopped ringing, I came to the decision that this simply will not do. So in my search to find a way to stop the ringing I saw many nods of approval for Dynamat, so that leads me to the question.
My helmet is a ugly spun top(i know i know, went with cheap and ugly for my first starter helmet), and it rings like a dozen church bells. With putting in the Dynamat, do I have to put a layer on the entire inside of the helmet? or just a few pieces? I have two 10" X 10" pieces of it, was hoping I'd be able just to put a few strips along the top dome and then along the sides as well.
Any help is appreciated.
Dynamat?

The very center of the helm doesn't ring as much as the out (lower) edge. put strips an inch or two up from the bottom of the helm running horizontally to where if starts touching your head, that will let it absorb more vibration.
I have a maile aventail on my bascinet, it absorbs almost all the vibration, thus no ringing at all. (unless you count all the loose stuff inside the head rattling around)
