Well, i've had this done for a while, but I just got a digital camera so i figured I'd post it, though i'm not sure it's worth posting. The pic is of a laced vambrace (there's a pair, but the other isn't shown), only covers the front half of the arm (hence the holes for laces). It's 16 ga. mild with fluting for strength (It doesn't fit my arm too well because it wasn't made for me, made it for a friend). All reasonable criticism and opinions is welcomed. Some color variation can be noted in the pictures, mostly due to the lighting/camera, so i'll mention that it has a bluish tint in real life.

rolling the edge by the wrist will help a lot with comfort. or just belling it out a bit. right now it look like it will cut into the wrist some. Looks good though.

Im just learning fluting, how do you go about sanding around the flute, what do you use etc. to keep it all so smooth and even? Nice job btw.

a little bit of everything. Some armourers actually flute to a point, grind and polish and then keep working ...idea being that they can at least get the grinder/sander where they need it to go in the first place.
