first crack at Milanese

Greetings all, here's my first attempt at a 15th cent Milanese harness, this one's in stainless and still needs some tweaking to the fit and having some rivits pounded in. Once again have to tip the hat to Patric for his gift of the "making of a suit" thread. I'd be lie'n if I said I didn't take more than a few peeks at it

Aaargh! Stop making me rethink a 14th century transitional rig by posting really nice 15th century plate!
Seriously nice looking work. I need a money tree to fall on me soon.

Coming along quite nicely! Will there be some fluting on the Tassets? Also, tell us more about how you did the triangular rolls if you would as those seem to be one of the elements that distinguish better breast plates.

Lorenze, the edge rolls are simple not triangle, I do the triangle edges on mild and spring steel, stainless is a pain in ass even when worked hot. My stainless armor tends to get simplified for sake of my sanity
Dmitriy Thanks
Wolf, don't! My armor looks like crap, too busy making armor for other folks.

Looks great! I wish I could get my pauldrons to come out that good. Did you use your own pattern or one of the archive?
