Hello guys!
does anyone have another picture of this cool hat? It from Churburg castle (at least I think so) Especially 90 degrees pictures appreciated. I would like to reproduce. This is the helmet I probably like most of all I have seen - the charm of simple ellegant shape, but I was not able to get different picture..
Thanks a lot
Jiri

There is a 3/4frontal shot in the churburg first volume on page 59 don't recall if any pics in the second book (at the shop right now) Also, I belive you can see a straight on shot in one of the pics showing the full room, it's hanging on the wall, not a great pic, but will show you the profile, I think it may be just past the pic of #13. If you need I'll try and scan the pics tonight. Patrick

Hi Patrick, thanks a lot for help. I have only a couple of pictures from the vol.1 (saving money for the book), but when checking it carefully I found one -attached. If you have some other in mind your picture will be very appreciated.

Is there a name known for that armorer's mark? It looks like it should read "AD".

I can't even squint my eyes enough to make it look like "AD"

, it looks mor to me like "AO"

If you turn your head the makers mark is K.O.
I'm not sure if I'd want a helm by Knock Out armoury.
*return to serious mod*
Jiri, I want to see pics if/when you make one of these.

Here is the picture that I was talking about, I think there is another picture that shows the tail somewhat, stubby little thing from what I can tell

It's that little tail thing on the upper left of the O-thing.

I'd bet it's a split cross with the letter O under it, the Italians liked the split cross design on this stuff, looks to me like the top leg of the cross didn't strike well is all. Probably says something in the churburg catalogs if I were to take a look. Patrick

Patrick, thanks a lot for the picture, This is exactly what was needed!
Jason, if everything goes well I will show the pictures of the finished piece soon, but now there are floods comming to our area and workhop is closed. I hope the water doesn´t reach so high, but we moved the tools to get ready for the worst.

I'd say the monogram was an A with something (probably a d, yes) beneath. Compare:
