Hi all I wanted to post this and see what some of you thought of it. It’s my concept drawing for my 14th century kit. My scanner cut off the head of this picture which was an onion top bascinet with triangular nose guard and aventail with a necklace of plaques. The rest of my kit is as follows:
-great helm with crest
-fighting houplande with coat of arms on it and hidden breastplate underneath and tightly belted (not an actual breastplate just something stiff enough to give the general 14th century “silhouetteâ€Â
opinions wanted on transition armour kit.

I really like your concept, with one exception. I would steer away from alternating colors on the arms and legs. I would go with straight red.
The red is documentable, whereas black really is over done with cuir bouilli splinted armour. Not to mention that the red really looks beutiful when it is polished up.
