Touched hammer to steel...

Post by WaaaghBoss »

... for the first time today, and it was so cool it can hardly be described in words. Made a gauntlet (mostly) and a half, with much, much teaching and help from Pheylin Quinn (sooooo very cool!!!!, if you have the means, buy something from GAA armouries or Pheylin directy!!!).
This ranks up there with one of the coolest things I have ever done, need only to finish rivetting them and then off to fighter practice!!!!
I'm so very exicted. Pics will be posted once they are complete.
Needless to say, this armour addicted individual has aquired yet ANOTHER hobby in beating metal into submission. :-)

Here is another potential talent.

You took well to forming metal. I was quite surprised.

Much more accurate and able than many I have had in my shop, especially as a "first timer". It was an extreme pleasure having you around for the day.

I am not sure if I will have enough free time at once to allow for another visit this week. If I can I will give you a call.

It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope you stick around long enough to actually enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Till next time........

P.S. It appears that I should have no problems finishing your gaunts this week. If something comes up I will call. I am hoping to get you back up here for an evening this week. Most of the work is done, it should take just another hour or so to put them together.

BTW: how was the wedding and the party afterwards?

Hey! I had an awesome time, can't wait to work some more... Really cool to work in your shop and to learn how to push metal! Meeting you (and your wife & daughter) was very cool, and I really enjoyed hanging out!
I understand if you are too busy this week. I would like to have them by coronation, but if it's not possible, that's cool. :-) My mind is still churning over the possibilities of a barbute and finger gaunts!
PS>> The wedding was a blast. A whole bunch of old friends from high school, going out afterwards was great, but by that time I was pretty tired! Hung over pretty hard today for fighter practice!
