Looks great. Are the random black lines threads you hadn't trimmed yet?

yes I used a waxed thread to sew the fingers and it's not cut yet. What's a good knot to use?

I usually just put a simple square/sewing knot (loop over itself and tighten). Sit about two or three on top of each other to make sure it wont go through the leather, and if you can hide it underneath something, even better. Otherwise, put some more wax on it and try to make it flush with the leather. I cant tell, how did you make the holes, and did you groove the line first or not? The armour itself is great, can help a bit with making the leather look awesome too.

Cute. When do I get to hit those?
Thanks for the stainless ball. Having a blast learning how to raise 16ga. stainless. Worse than arm wrestling Dave.....
Cheers and have a Happy Canada Day!!!!!

Looks great! The knuckle rider seems rather large though. I like the effect of the knuckles being steel and the finger lames latten. Usualy one sees it done the other way around.

I would like some more information about what metals you have used where, gauges, intended use of the gauntlet.
Another angle of photo might clarify one possible criticism I have - it looks in the image posted as though the ridging (don't have a good word for what I mean right now.) on the metacarpal plate is not very well defined or clear. I'm used to that being a striking characteristic of hourglass style gauntlets. It helps make the overall impression that you are looking at a steel hand, not a casing for a hand.

The carple is 16ga stainless. The lames and gadlings are 18ga SS with brass coverings. This pair will be used in arming sword and sword in two hands "free" fencing and then with complete harness {AEMMA}
