My Raising Stakes are Ringing!

Hello. :D
My T stake and L stake ring like anvils when I use them. My anvil doesn't ring seemingly because it is set in lots of concrete. My stakes are too, though. How could I stop or at least dampen the ringing? I've already shoved a bundle of garden hose into the T stake so it doesn't ring like a bell, but it still rings anvillishly. here's a picture of my setup, you can see the two offenders in the middle, and my current project (bike helmet) on top of the forge.
Merry Metal sMiting,
Happy Hammering,
Archie

Could you weld a short piece of heavy chain that hangs down, to suck out the vibrations?

I don't have a welder, myself, but I could loop a length or two around the stakes which would probably work the same way, thanks! :D

You could probably fill the inside of the square one with that great stuff expanding foam. It will probably look bad, but the excess can be cut off. I use my anvil like device (RR rail) on my dishing stump. The wood absorbs some of the sound.

attach a big magnet (you can find big and powerful ones into old speakers) to the base of your stakes, it works on my anvil.
