Archer's knees.

I'm posting these here for giggles-some mild steel and brass archer's knees I made a while back.

Shits and giggles... it is an old saying. It means just for fun.

You should of put em in the armour of the month. Nice knees.

At a guess, pleasant if plain articulated leg harness with more decoration than appropriate for this type of kit. Functional in some circumstances.
Overkill for others.

Alright, time I showed my ignorance.

What is the difference between archers knees and other knees used in SCA heavy fighting?

Granted I see some that are called floating, articulated, gothic, etc, but are archers knees of lighter guage steel or what makes them different if anything?

basically it comes from that in many MS's there are pictures of archers wearing no leg armour but articulated knees. Sometimes people in the SCA make the last outer lames bigger for more protection. At least thats why I do it. I don'y think it has anything to do with lighter or thinner metal used.
