I'm interested in constructing a practice Pell. Can some one direct me to a resource for this, preferably with pictures and directions and a list of stuff I need. Thanks

4X4 about 6 ft. long-a car tire and wheel (assembled and inflated)-a 2X4 about 9 inches long (it will fit inside the wheel)-two lag bolts about 6 inches long-washers-rope-blue foam-duct tape. Cut the 2X4 till it will fit inside the wheel. Drill 2 holes in the 2X4 that the lag bolts will slip through. Place the 2X4 on the end of the 4X4 (like this T) and mark where you want to drill the holes for the lag bolts. Drill the 4X4 with a drill just under the diameter of the shank of the lag bolt. Assemble. Wrap with rope and or blue foam. Only go down to knee height.

I just take a 4x4 (pressure treated if left out in the elements). cut 4 2x4s on a 45 degree bevel \________/ bout 12 to 16 " long . They're the bottom supports nailed low to the sides of the 6' 4x4 where they're other end is flush with the bottom

then a couple of 1 x 4s to brace off the bottom depending on how hard you hit. Oh, use galvanized 3 inch screws to put the legs on, can prolly do away with the 1x4 ground contact bracing that way.
I brake for those big pieces of rubber than you see off the side of the road that came off big trucks. all you need are two good lengths. roofing tacks and lap them lengthwise up and over your 4x4.
great pell with double rubber for those downward head shots.
if you don't need it to be portable, just sink a 4x4 into a hole in the ground, bit o' sakrete / concrete, put ur rubber on and ur good to go.

I went the easy route:
6' rounded 4x4, a 5 gallon plastic bucket and a bag of cement.

For a stationary pell I used a 6' length of galvenized fence post(4" dia.) in a 5gal. bucket of concrete, wrapped with old rug. I rent and share a back yard with my landlord, so I needed it to be mobile. Another good one(if you have a tree handy) is to suspend a tire from a rope(or two tied together for a full length target) and whack away. The tire and rope move around alot, forcing you to use footwork to follow it about.

I think there might be some in the fighters handbook and posible the knownworld handbook also.
I know there is one also in the iron rose book.
pells are probibly one of the most indavidualized parts of training.
there is a webpage that sells wasteres and rebated steel with several pell designs althought I lost the link when my computer went down
