Latest leather armor productions

Despite my not posting in a great while, I have not dissappeared. Shop production and other concerns have been occuppying my time. However, much to the gratification of my customers I have not stopped production, and I would like to show some of my latest work.
The picture quality on some of these pieces does not do them justice, but here they are.
I am very happy with the finished shape of these hourglass demis. The slope on the back of the wrist allows for fantastic wrist movement. Unfortunately, the lighting does not show the fluting to its best advantage.

These next two pictures are harden leather bucklers. These were produced to allow light sparring for one of our archiver friends who is currently deployed. I do not believe that they would hold up to rattan combat, but I see no reason why they couldn't be used for rapier. The finished buckler is quite rigid and should hold up well. This is the first attempt at a leather shield, so I am anxious to hear how it holds up.

This is a pair of shovel greaves for a large individual. I am very happy with the overall shaping of these and the rigidity on all of these projects is remarkable. I have begun allowing the project to "case" over night before I begin the shaping process and this seems to allow for a more rigid finished project, as well as extending the baking time and increasing the amount of hide glue used to penetrate the leather.

I am very happy with the results on this hourglass demi. It was made for an exceptionally small lady, and so the finished project is almost cute. I wasn't able to get the same flare to the wrist as I did on the previous pair shown, but the lighting does set of the fluting that I do on this style of half gauntlet.
