If patrick is listening - you could add the Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore. they actually have some nice pieces. I don't know what the display looks like.....

They only have a few peices now. Philly has far more. I have pictures of both on my site.

The Walters has a new wing with a nice medieval display (read not armour oriented). There are only 2 harness' out and another case of misc. pieces and weapons. Over all I was not too pleased with the armour display. In all honesty I did not see the entire museum either. I do remember from an earlier visit that there was a rather nice display of Tsuba and Japaneese armour.

I did no mean to imply that it was the greatest collection out there - merely that it was a museum that contains some nice pieces of armour that was not on his list.

Met and Philly are the top two to visit. There are others that are good too.

It is just nice to have a place to go which actually shows all of the collections out there....

Thanks for the info, I do have to do some serious updating to my list, I realised after my most recent trip I had some misinformation up and had missed a few more european collections. I will hopefully have my personal computer up and running in the next couple weeks and then get an updated list on. Patrick

I should have been more clear in my post. Walters removed most of their armor and made the area were it stood into a cafe. There is only one full suit left and a few pieces in a case. There is a ton of medieval art there still.
