New Cuirass Pics

I've been polishing and repairing my entire harness on and off all winter as time permits. Today, I re-strapped a lot of the cuirass and restored the side tassets, which have been off since the fire two-and-a-half years ago. I also repaired some warpage in the left side of one of the upper backplate's lames that I incurred as the result of an especially heavy greatsword blow from Duncan of Skeane a while back. That was difficult; those lames are very springy.

Then I realized that I hadn't taken any photos of my armour since Patrick Thaden installed a lance rest in August. Since I am proud of that lance rest, I thought I'd post some photos...

So here we go. Be kind, since I haven't yet polished the cuirass, and it's a bit rusty after a few months' neglect in my armour chest. You can see the legharness which has already been polished in the background. Also, kindly excuse the baby toys laying around.

Looks great man!

(never mind the baby toys...armour is still a fun toy!)

Looks nice. Much better spacing on the holes in your straps. Those should last better than some of the stuff you have struggled with. Are you going to dye the straps at all, or just leave them natural?

Hey Greyson! Long time, no see.

Thank you for the comments on the strapping. Yes, I am dyeing the new straps the same dark red that the rest of them are.

I'll post some more photos of the whole harness once my "spring cleaning" restoration project is done.
