I'm not covering for anyone, nor am i on a soapbox, but i have been in buisness for about a year (although it is always slow 
) making maille,
while i do not get alot of orders, my policy is to take no more than 5 orders at a time, on a basis of 20-25% commision which is kept on record(ie, not spent but kept in a lock box) and of which 15% is refundable after 1 week. This i make obviously clear to my customers, and it is on an order form which they sign for the express purpose of CMA (Covering My A$$).

to take more than 10 orders at any time with full payment ahead of time is irresponsable for *any* buisness where the time period for one order can take upwars of a month.
