Paging Dan Houchins...

Post by RenJunkie »

Hey Dan, you mentioned in a post about your new work table. Can you post a pic or two of it? I am about to build one for meself, and seeing how old pros do their workspace would probably be helpful.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post it, but the work table leads directly to design and construction, afterall  ...

Thanks,
Christopher

Christopher,

I am running behind in getting ready for the event this weekend, I will have to post pictures of the work table on Sunday.

Basically, it is made with 2x6 supports running around the top and bottom of the 2x4 legs. The bottom support has a 1/2" plywood shelf that supports the strength of the legs as well, and then there is the 5/8" 4'x8' table top. All of the construction was done with #8 2 1/2 wood screws. I will post pics when I get back.

Ok, thanks.

What sort of bracing do you have underneath the table top?

And is this the table you do your pounding on?

Thanks,
Christopher
