I have to say that this book is expensive. i checked both Ebay and Half.com and they want a small fortune for it. I'm building my library of armoring books and I just have to get this. I saw it at the library and I was half tempted to steal it, but that would be selfish. Anyways I'll keep eyeing ebay and half and maybe I'll get lucky.

also take a look at sites like bookmooch, paperbackswap ect. you can 'game' them by looking at what the most wanted books are, then picking them up at used book stores, yard sells, and thrift stores, then getting easy (and cheap) credits that way. with shipping youll usually be out about 6 a book.

then you put watches on the books you want, and trade for it.

i found a dirt cheap copy of old testament miniatures via the first method, ended up being at a small used book store just down the street, so i drove down there, and after talkign witht eh owner a little while, i paid 20 bucks for it.

One sold very recently on the armour archive for $30.00. They are not all that hard to find, you might pay $40 or $50, but not much more if you are patient.

I have an extra copy if the price was right. Great condition. Make an offer. Also have an extra wisby reprint that's got the spine seperated. Will likely be putting a whole wack of stuff up for sale this week to get rid of stuff I don't need.

My copy of aaotmk is so torn up its pathetic. Rust, blood, paint, ink, sweat... Almost every page is covered with either drawings or tons of scribbled notes on armour.

And to think finding a copy for $10 was easy just 5 years ago...

Wow, I feel really lucky, I got it from my old high school, they asked if any one wanted any books before the school closed down and I picked it, along with a few others.

I got a signed copy, albeit in, well... let's just say it's my shop copy, for $10 a couple of months ago. I have a "decent" copy in my library at home, which I think I found for $8 a couple of years back. I'm thinking about 15 years or so ago, it was on the closeout table at the bookstore for like $5 a whack.

Usually, I see copies above $50, and often $75ish, but sometimes they show up in the $30 - $40 range.

There's a lot of copies of this book floating around... just keep your eyes open. It's a neat book, but far from the Holy Grail.

Clang has one for $50...Also has alot of other jewels there to drool over...

this is your conscience speaking..." DON'T STEAL THE BOOK"....there is a special hell for people who steal library books.....and you won't like the other inmates...

Thanks guys for all the help. I will be going to the library tomorrow and checking the book out there as the wife has put a big no down on me for buying the book (went nuts with outfitting the new workshop, wait till she finds out I got a few more things on ebay).

I will be checking all the sites you guys provided and maybe I'll get lucky and find a copy I can buy. Maybe I'll collect bottles and cans for the cash, I live in Michigan so at 10 cents a can I'll need about 600 and i can get the book, lol. Thanks again guys

You can have my extra copy for what I paid for it, $45. I had a hard time finding a copy, after I thought I'd lost mine. It turned up in my mothers garage, so I don't need 2 copies.
