I like making armor but i have no place to actually do it at.

Here is my situation. I have TONS of tools and supplies... hammers, anvils, stakes, stumps, welding machine, steel HC/LC/Stainless, 4 sides of leather, and no place to work. Well i have a place but it is 2 hours away and does not lend well to armouring except for the weekends. And yet another depressing fact is that when i go armouring i can't get back in time for practice.

I live in an apartment. Can't really move out anytime soon because of some draconian lease that i foolishly signed myself into.

Anyone have any creative ideas about how to get a place to work on armour?

PS. You have no idea how hard it is to look at all of my toys and not be able to play with them.

I dunno what your financial situation is like, but you may want to consider renting a studio or even a storage garage. My brother's old hard rock band used to practice in a storage garage (the kind where you have one long building divided up into lots of small garages), and if they could do that, you could certainly do armouring. Only concern might be convincing them that the concrete floor would not be harmed.

Or, if looking at all your tools is just too much to bear, feel free to mail them to me! ;-)

work in the yard get a small uhall trailer and just pile all the tools in when your done.

working in a personal storage site will work but you cant have gas bottles there and they will not aprove of you welding with there eletric. but everything else will work.
ask the local sca group Im shure you can find some one that will loan out there garage just make shure to pack your tools up when you are done as some tools tend to walk off.

How about getting a big stand up van like a old UPS truck. Big heavy benches down each side. If you covered the roof with solar cells you could light it up at night.

Some good soundproofing. Some fold down jack stands. Solar fridge for the beer and you be good to go.
