Coppergate helm scans uploaded

Sean Powell wanted to check up the pictures from "The Anglican Helm From Coppergate" and I thought others might as well. I scanned all of the full size pics, and some smaller pics of how the helm is assembled. The large pics are HUGE, and have an amazing amount of detail. There is a ton of technical data in this book, including x-rays of the helm. It's too bad it's out of print.

I thought about sending this as a private reply but I felt it would be more polite to do so publicly. How can I best phrase this...
WOHO! GARRETH, YOU ROCK!!!!
There is some information that is not ment to be lost in obscure out-of-print books. I'm sure Sir Mord would make a strong argument about this information never truly being lost but available through ILL... but these pictures will do a great bit for inspiring people towards more authentic designs and hopefully be the teaser to track down more related. Information.
Garreth, on behalf of all us armor addics out here... THANK YOU!

Sean,
Glad I could help. If you think of anything else you'd like to see, let me know and I will see what I can find in the book. Those 1:1 scale drawings are amazing, IMO. The scans are 600 dpi, and are quite large. My scanner will do up to 4800 dpi

, but I fear it would take all day for one pic and I shudder to think how big the file would be.
It's a shame the book is out of print. It only cost me @ $30, shipped from the U.K. I'm glad I got it when I did.

Hey Guys,
Since when is this book OOP? Question still remains, is it ethical to post pictures online of other peoples publications? Personally and legally I don't think so. Ofcourse I, just as much as the next man, like to see all these brilliant pictures but I am afraid the only way which that is possible is indeed ILL or just aquiring the book. I'm not trying to be an a$$ just trying to support the research community on which we depend.
Cheers,
Max

Garreth you have my heartfelt thanks!
I have been unsuccessfully looking for this book for some time, actually the cover scan will help me in my search for it I am sure. I still plan to purchase this book when I can locate a copy, until then this will help tide me over.
is there any information on the vendel helms in this publication?
Max Keeren, this book has been OOP for a number of years and is increasingly scarce. buying a used copy of an out of print book does not support the research community. If the publisher made this book available in print or as PDF I would be very happy to pay for it.

Max,
I would never post scans from a book that is still in print. I am just trying to give back to this community. I knew it was a bit of a slippery slope when I posted them.
Rohlgrim,
There are some small pics of the valsgarde and vendel helms, I will scan them in a bit. They are the same drawings that Halvgrim used to have posted on his website (which is sadly gone

)
