The Armour Archive

So, I am all out of useful gauges of metal at the moment and the guy I usually buy from is on holiday so I have started getting creative with the stuff I have..

Started a simple coat of plates project today, its made out of a pretty nice red canvas lined with white egyptian cotton, the plates are some aluminium i've had for years without using and the rivets are mild steel "wellpap nails" wich I guess translates into roofing nails.. Its a very simple piece but I kinda like making it since its super fast and simple to make and I can sit inside in front of the TV while riveting the plates to the fabric

Well, here are some pics, now the question is what I will have to make to go with the cop when its finished, will probably do a full kit out of this just for the fun of it.

Nice. Got any pics of the inside? And are you going to do plates on the back?

Had some spare time yesterday so I did some of the backplates and put those in there, here is a progress pic of the inside.. I was going to make the cop close on the right side but changed my mind so the fantastic lines i drew on the lining to get a mental pictures of the plates ended up on the visible side of the lining.. the marks will wear off after its been used for a while since its not a permanent marker.. and most of them will be covered with plates anyway..
