Pulled the masking tape off today after getting the trim done.

I'm not really pleased with the color or the breaths but then it was an experiment and I suppose you have to have a starting point to learn from.

All 16 gauge mild steel with steel rivit construction from shop scraps.

I'm heading out on vacation tomorrow night and when I get back I'm starting the blackened w/ brass occular helm.

Sunday I'll be at the Castle at Okmulgee in Oklahoma with the black and yellow helm under one arm if anybody happens to be there.

Thanks. Well, I got the wild hare to play with this style and get it down with different variations.

When I get back to Alaska, I've got two commision pieces to hammer out. Looking more like the second will have a horse hair crest rather than a top ring. Haven't decided the type of crest to do yet. Yet another new item to learn and add to my bag of tricks.
