mid 15th century legs

Post by Thomas H »

right i have had some patterns floating round my room for some mid 15th century legs. the thing is i have no instructions just the patterns. does the upper cuisse wrap right round the sides or just cover the front part of the leg. also do they have padding inside or are they just bare steel.

it should just cover teh front part of the leg. (go to like the seam on your jeans area) there should be a wrap plate that hinges on to wrap around the back of the leg.

also do they have padding inside or are they just bare steel?

bare steel should be fine if its made correctly to your leg. for sca you may want to pad the knee area.

I would not want to wear any steel legs without knee padding.
