The Armour Archive

Hi, all, I am about ready to post my plastic leg armor patterns, but I am not sure how to proceed. I have the patterns, photos of the completed object, and text description. Should I put together the html file myself and email it to someone to post in the Pattern section?

The minimum I need is images of the patterns, suitable for being printed out on 8.5x11 paper.

It's best if you can put a 1" line going vertically and horizontally, since people's printers don't always maintain scale.

It's also better (though not always possible) to have the pattern oriented horizontally of vertically (as opposed to skewing it diagonally across the page). That way, if people need to stretch your pattern in one direction or the other, they'll be able to do it w/ a bit more ease. (Note that simply stretching the pattern isn't likely to be sufficient... it is, though, likely to be necessary.)

Pictures of the armour made are great to have.

Picture(s) of historical pieces which provided the inspiration are also nice.

A step-by-step set of directions (don't tell people how to do steps like rolling an edge, peening a rivet, ..., but list what is to be done) is also good to have.

If you've done pattern resizing, some comments on how to go about it for your pattern would be wonderful.

Since I'm going to end up formatting the HTML to match the Archive's format, it isn't essential that you write the HTML yourself (i.e. plain text is just fine by me).

Whatever of the above you have, you can either post it here (so other people can see it and comment), or you can e-mail it to me.

Then, in my <u>Copious Free Time</u>^tm I'll get it formatted and posted to the pattern area.
