Greetings all-

I was wondering where everyone was getting their raising hammers from? I've looked at ones geared towards the jewelry market and they seem both expensive and a bit light for moving steel. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I only have 1 real raising hammer. it is a 24oz peddinghaus raising hammer. I LOVE it. the other raising hammers that I have are modifyed ball piens from harbor freight. they do what they are supposed to...

I use one of these from Eastwood Co.

The face is rounded up and the edges smoothed for our type of work though.

PS: I have found some locally made by Bondo Co. to be used in my new tool kit.

Castings,

Merry Christmas! Hope you are well.

I have made a couple of raising hammers out of brick hammers. I also had a hammer with longer arms made by Eric at iron monger armoury.
