This is a really neat book, and hard to find in decent condition. It has lots of pics of full harnesses, and is heavy on Maximilian armor. There's a great shot on the frontispiece of the armory as it existed in the 50's or 60's-the armor's just standing around, no ropes or anything. Image Also, it has notes about each of the harnesses. I found one part particularly interesting-the author tells which parts of each harness have been restored, and often which are composite. I was amazed at some of them. You see a full harness, then read and discover that it was composed from portions of a pair of legs, half a breastplate, a helmet and arms.

Anyway, I like the book. And no, I'm not the one selling it. Image
