In the first part of this review I will be talking about buying and the transaction of the product how fast, and how it went. Part II will contain a physical review.

PART I

They were bought on ebay for $78.00 + $9.00
shipping on Dec-11-00 12:54:18 PM PST.I recived my first email from him at 2:04 PM PST. I paid with paypal just a few hours later at 19:34:36 PM PST. I get an email the next day telling me that they will be shipped out in a week and it was ok for me to do a review at Dec-12-00 6:54 AM PST. On Dec-18-00 I send an email to check status of the shippment. On Dec-19-00 He tells me he came down with the flue and didnt get a chance to send them out. I recived the product on 1-05-01 at 6:55 PM PST.

He was a nice person to talk to I thought, everything went well other than him coming down with a cold. The Gaunts came unstrapped but with nice articulation expect a full physical on them in a few days.

I own a helm, legs arms and gauntlets from North Star and am really impressed with the quality. The legs are still in great shape 10+ years later, same thing with the arms, although I had to replace the leather on the splinted vambrace. It basically rotted off my arm after being used every week for 10 years. My gauntlets are fine althoug a bit heavy for my taste.

Dos he have a website or email addy? I would like to see what kind of products he is offering nowdays and maybe stir some customers his way.

Master Peter doesn't have a website or a catalog. He actually only really sells one of three ways nowadays.

One, is that he always shows up at Pennsic with a bunch of armour (which goes frighteningly quickly. I wish mine sold that fast.) Second, is that he's been selling stuff online through Ebay for the last year or so. And last, you hunt him down either by email or phone, and ask if you can buy one of the peices he has in his normal repertoire. He doesn't seem to do custom peices much anymore; I believe he's been playing around with the idea of "retiring" after being an armourer for around 20-some-odd years.

His normal "day" job is as an aerospace analyst that probably pays him a pretty penny, but also requires him to travel frequently and put in 50-60 hour weeks, so he doesn't get out to SCA events much anymore, and makes the "armouring" end of things more of a hobby he does because he loves the craft. For those of us that like and have bought his armour, that leaves us with finding the peices that he's already made and buying them up fast.

Sorry to hear that he's had a bout with the flu; I just recently went a few rounds with a abcessed tooth, so I sympathize.
