I have for some time now been trying to develop a working hourglass gauntlet pattern that I dont need to use a welder for, this one didnt quite work but with someone recently posting some bluing instructions I thought I'd play with some bluing as well.

As you can see its not planished and very lumpy but that wasnt the aim of the game. In 5min with an LPG torch and some WD40 I was able to get a nice semi-even black finish.

I'm not quite ready to do another set of finger gaunts - I dont quite have the tools to do fingers properly and I hate scale fingers - on the other hand I cant do (nor have any real use for) clamshells.
So, should I keep them for now until I have fingers I can put on them or finish it off as a demi (or as a pair of demis?) and sell them as low-profile demis to raise me some money? What do people think? (Note: the two brass rivets are NOT peened over they are just sitting there with the knuckle rider. so if I were to turn them into low-profile demi's I'd be using black dome rivets.)
A little prototype stuff.
