SCA Fencing Steel Gorget Pattern?

Post by Aaron »

Hi,

My wife enjoyed going to practice last night, and wants me to use my new tools from Halberds (Thanks Hal!!) to make her a fencing gorget.

Sadly the pattern archive on the Armour Archive looks anemic on this.

I’d be building it out of 18 gauge stainless, dished, fluted, folded edges, etc…and she wants a felt lining. She was impressed with one she saw at practice on Tuesday and next Tuesday I’ll get pictures and video of it, if possible. BUT if you have a good pattern and already have made one, please let me know.

Help?

With thanks,

-Aaron

I used this pattern for my rapier gorget
http://www.armourarchive.org/patterns/gorget_ab/
make a mockup with posterboard and resize.

I have also used talbots pattern set for wisby style gorget a few times for rapier guys.

hears another option or so
