Help with a Polish kit

Hello all!
I am attempting to help my Lady get her first heavy kit together and I am having some trouble finding the info we need.
She is wanting to go Polish due to her ancestry, but neither of us can afford the later Hussar Anime styles or any other plate types.
I do have experience making hidden armour and I will try and get her some lamellar if it is appropriate for her persona.
So, the main problem is that I cannot figure out are what helms type are correct for this people?
I know it is a broad question, but any pics of Polish style helms other than those of Hussars would be most appriciated!
Once she picks a helm type that she likes, we can work on the rest of her kit to fit it.
Edit: She is going to go for a Hussar look. Yay!

From some illuminations of the 14th century, Polish armor didn't look much different then that typical of western Europe.
14th century manuscript of the battle of Legnica (c1240) from the Legend of St. Hedwig. The Polish appear to be wearing bascinets and greathelms.

This might get more attention in the "I WANT TO BE" FORUM...assuming they let you post something general like "I want to be a Polish warrior".

Okay, so the Pancerni were the middle and lower class calvary combatants?
I talked to my Lady and she really wants to do Hussar/Panceri (she looked up some of the Anima armour pics).
I can't get her one of those spiffy breast plates right now, so would something like a buff-coat be realistic, with hidden armour underneath obviously or would a Polish style tunic be better?
I will be getting her some spaulders and a helm. I am going to have to make the rest hidden armour using HDPE plastic.

If I could afford some more maille then I might try to talk her into it.
;p
However, she wants to attempt to make a Anime cuirass out of HDPE and cover it with velvet or something (I am fully behind her on this. I have plenty of HDPE lying around so it won't cost anything to try.)

Osprey has two good books that cover the hussars. It's a nice resource to get inspired by.
