Hi,
Does anybody have an idea how an arm harness of the type depicted below was attached? There seems to be no connection with the couter as wold be the case with a set of jack chains. It seem so me that just pointing it to the floppy mail sleeve would cause that plate arm/shoulder guard to move out of potion and with a defence like this one wants it to stay put by strapping it in place. In fact I can't see any point ties here and no meta attachments to the underlying mail. I expect the couter was strapped to the elbow. More images of this kind of arm harness would be appreciated.

Its not my place or period, but I would have my armourer articulate the vambrace and elbow on lames and point a leather tab on the upper lame to the doublet
I don't have experience with proper smooth tailored mail so I can't speak to the rerebrace and spaulder.
