Hello,
I have taken up pewter casting again. A neighbour has offered me an old casting form of his provided I will use it. However I can only use it if it is reasonably similar to something that can be found in Europe, preferrably between 1300 and 1500.
It is a form for a spoon and the spoon on the packaging looks like this´. Can anybody help? i do not wanna take the old mans form just to have it sit in my basement unused.

That doesn't look like any of the pewter spoons I've been researching.
Here are some examples:

The ones prefixed ps are from "Pewter Spoons and other related material of the 14th ~ 17th centuries" by Sarah Muldoon & Roger Brownsword, and the emi images are from "English Medieval Industries" edited by John Blair and Nigel Ramsey.
They are images in the documentation I wrote up for my pewter spoon project:
http://eric.myeportfolio.net/gilbert/
The spoon page on the flyout menu from A&S projects (you have to allow the java script if the flyout menu doesn't flyout) has the documentation in html and pdf if you'd like to have a peek.
The site isn't anywhere near finished, so forgive the sparce content.

Bartok,
Is that link correct? If so, either my network blocked it or the AA already overwhelmed it. I'm interested in seeing it, though, so I'll try again later.
Thanks

The link is correct, it seems the server is down. I'll give a shout to my hosting guy and see what's going on.
I'm afraid the pdf is three times the allowable size so I can't attach it here. If anyone wants me to send it to them, send me an email.

Those pics even look like a silver spoon found in a Pictish hoard (c700-800 CE IIRC). If you're interested I'll scan it and source it?

Well, it's a good thing I double checked the source. These pictish spoons and ladles are from Mildenhall. The single shots of A ladle and A spoon are from Traprain Law. ALL date from the 5th Century.
