My wife, Sabina, participated in the Golden Seamstress competition for the first time. She, along with 3 others, worked for 20 hours straight to make a 15th century burgundian dress. I thought I would brag a little and post pics here. She took second place in here category. The thing I find most amazing is that she has only been sewing for a little over a year now. She is naturally talented in this field.

Interestig pics, looks like a fun and well attended event

I participated in the GS event three years ago as the pewterer for a team making a lady's Burgundian ensemble, and the event was very challenging and very enjoyable. The showing and judging towards the tail-end of the event was less enjoyable, but by the time that began everyone was seriously brain-fried. I've often wondered what a "Golden Armorer" event would be like...
