New knife & sheath project finished

Post by Greenshield »

Greetings all. Preping for Gulf Wars has had me in a bind and busy as hell. But before I leave for the event I wanted to post my latest knife and sheath project. I purchased the blade blank from Ragweed Forge. The rest of the project I did by hand.

Since it is being given as a gift to friend at GW, this will be the last chance I have to show it off:

The handle is made of Birch with a leather spacer capped in copper and Elk antler capped with brass.

I'm gone until Sunday. Until then, feel free to make suggestions or comments.

Hummmm nice knife, the sheath is cool also.

That is a much appreciated gift.

In our family we picked names for next Christmas, I got my nephew.
I made him a bollock dagger and sheath.

Thanks for the pic.

That is absolutely gorgeous! I would be very honored to receive a gift like that! The recipient is very lucky!

Nice job!

That is a very sweet looking knife. The recipient will be pleased I am sure, if not unsheath it and stab him with it. Seriously though, nice work.

I to agree this is a great and well made and executed, period seax with sheath. The work that His Excellency Camric put into it is phenomenal, and I was most humbled by him, when he gifted this to me Friday night at Gulf Wars.

I will wear it proudly at my Coronation and for years to come.

The coolness of this gift is only out-weighed by the excellence of the friendship this gift represents. Being in the SCA and making friends that will last a life time with people all around the world, is what truly is special for my wife and I!

Thank you so Very much Camric, Kinsman, and Brother.

May you and Yours be well !, and as Runa said, know that you may share Our Hearth and Home whenever you may be up north here! Look forward to seeing you soon!

Your Brother,
EikBrandr
