I've got to get my new gauntlets ready to go, new legs and greaves, finish the arms and new helmet...
So much work!

Wartooth, this is just a suggestion, but it would probably look better if you would get some pants and cover the catcher's shins. With (what looks like) a spangen and a kite shield, you could sort of pull of an early Norman look, in which case winnegas (leg wrappings) might look appropriate over the pants.
Here are some ideas that might help you:

Everybody was new at some point, but with a little bit of work, nobody has to look new for very long.

A work in progress. New elbows with reposse demon faces are on the way, new greaves with knees and lamellar thighs and rerebraces on the way as well.

Rus Kit
This is a bit better picture of my new kit. I am trying to portray Rus around 1240 Novgorod.

Here's one from the semi-finals at Red Tower this year.
Of the two guys in black in sallets, I'm the one on the right (the knight I'm fighting apparently is a wizard and can make his sword attack me all on its own
).
Not much change from Spring to Fall. I'm thinking of starting to wear my 15th century plate legs again just for spiffness.
It'd also be awesome if I could rig it so my sleeves stay put, it seems like every good action shot has my hockey elbow in it.

Great looking kit!! Thanks for sharing the picture.
I have to ask is the person you are fighting holding a round shield or are they taking cover behind a table?
Take care and be well,

Ha! Yeah I can see that. This was actually during the spear tourney. We squared off, threw down our spears and went to daggers. It was big fun. It would have been more fun if my baronial rapier champion hadn't started heckling me and got me stabbed in the arm.
The rematch at practice was awesome too!

...Um....It matches my heraldry?
That being said, yeah I just bought that damned thing at Pennsic. Perhaps next time a friend is coming up with an awesome new idea they can give me a heads up!
As it is I'll have to wait until this one breaks to become one of the cool kids.
